Ensuring the seismic resistance of a building using a geotechnical seismic insulating screen

This paper considers the issue related to protection of buildings and structures against seismic influences prevention, exclusion, or reduction hazards. The catastrophic destruction modern «earthquake-resistant» in Turkey Taiwan has shown that existing methods strengthening reinforcing are not perfect require further study. Analysis approaches ensuring resistance showed insulation suppression systems still do have a scientific technical justification for effectiveness their operation from point view stability structures. estimation-dynamic models «base-seismic insulation-structure» system developed date always make it possible simulate joint work interaction during an earthquake account transformation impact on structure. An alternative technique been devised, geotechnical screen, as reduces intensity loads structure ensures its resistance. In specific example, this is confirmed. form damper screens characterized by reliability manufacturability objects under construction. results computational experimental modeling earthquake-insulated with ground base found values axial forces bending moments building insulating screen less than without 30‒40 %. makes advance development new techniques determine effectiveness. will also be effective when historical monuments, protecting them dynamic influences.
